About Bergen Group Fosen/Fosen Mek. Verksteder

Fosen Mekaniske Verksteder is a modern international ship yard seated at Rissa, close to the entrance to the Trondheim fjord, Norway.

The yard represents ship building, conversion and repair traditions dating back to 1918, at a location where ship building has been an important craft since the Viking era.

Fosen Mekaniske Verksteder is a part of Fosen Yards, a ship yard group also containing LandskronaVarvet in Sweden.

The yard provides high quality services in outfitting of ships in the offshore, seismikk, RoPax/Passenger amd cruise segment.

Presently the yard employs 250 people, in addition to a similar number of employees representing contractors and subcontractors.
